About The Glen Academy
The Glen Academy takes childcare, preschool, and after school programs to the next level. We’ve found that when children have fun learning, they retain the knowledge they’ve been given.
Our curriculum focuses on the building blocks of learning…STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). It is developed to provide children with a foundational education that will take them to greater heights as they learn and grow.
Both our facility and curriculum are designed for specific age groups. The Glen Academy promotes infant and childhood development based on your child’s individuality. We build skills that can provide the foundation for lifelong success. And we create opportunities for all children to develop to their fullest potential.

The Glen Academy Advantage™
Differentiated Learning treats each child as an individual: Unlike many daycare facilities and afterschool programs that take a “one size fits all” approach, at The Glen Academy we know that our diverse community of children can vary in culture, language, gender, motivation, ability, learning styles, personal interests and more. So, instead of a “cookie-cutter” environment, our approach to learning is designed on prescient research and best practices that support Differentiated Learning. Our teachers are trained to identify the variety of ways through which children understand new information, including content acquisition, processing, constructing, or making sense of ideas. By recognizing your child’s “light bulb” moments our staff can provide optimal ways for exploration, learning, and development, from infants to pre-teens.
Full STEAM Ahead
We believe it is never too early to introduce the Glen Academy STEAM curriculum to children. STEAM uses Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics as access points for stimulating student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. By utilizing STEAM in our curriculum, Glen Academy students get a jumpstart developing the transferrable skills they will need when they enter high school, college, and the workforce.
From a young age, children soak up knowledge like a sponge. Our research-based, age-specific curriculum is designed to provide children with learning opportunities in a variety of ways. Your child will enjoy learning STEAM through hands-on experiences such as arts and crafts, science experiments, building and designing, nature walks, and much more.
Our computer-based and paper activities are supplemented with hands-on and social interaction. We have an in-house science lab as well as a performing arts stage. In addition to a robust curriculum, your child will enjoy storytime, including a library of STEAM-related children’s books.
A Creative Curriculum
Our research-based, STEAM-infused curriculum encourages children’s curiosity creating a culture of inquiry and a feeling of confidence that children need for a successful foundation as they embrace a lifelong love of learning. Our curriculum includes developmentally appropriate goals and objectives, creating an environment where children learn how to make friends, have group interactions, and follow rules.
A Healthy Balance
Our programs provide a healthy balance of Technology, the Arts, and Nature Exploration with plenty of fresh air as children discover the world around us. Our facility features age-appropriate playgrounds and a nature trail providing kids the opportunity to learn about ecology and biology.
