For years, The Glen Academy’s Preschool & VPK has provided a loving, safe environment for our students to grow developmentally, socially, and spiritually. Our child-centered, play-based program creates connection and a sense of community during these early formative years. Our theme-based curriculum is designed to prepare students for early literacy and kindergarten readiness. The concepts encourage children to learn at their own pace using hands-on materials, songs, and games in group and individual settings.
We use the Frog Street Pre-K curriculum because it is a comprehensive, dual-language program designed to meet the needs of diverse learners while supporting developmental learning domains. This engaging, interactive pre-kindergarten curriculum celebrates the joy of learning as children travel down the road to success. Our VPK teachers are highly experienced and exceed the State’s requirements for teaching VPK.
During the summer, the children in the VPK class work with original themed lesson plans and modules designed to be fun and educational. Each child receives individual attention, which builds self-esteem while the child is becoming successful in reading, writing, math, music, and art.
Our preschool program gives daily opportunities to learn through exploration in a stimulating, inclusive, and secure environment. Curriculum for all ages has been developed following the same rigorous college-readiness standards found in all grades of the school and is delivered in large, well-equipped classrooms.
